A little time at the computer to catch up on my blogging, and a round of up some of my favourite recent commissions.
This first necklace was spotted by a regular customer on my blog here who wondered if I could make a similar one for her. I was more than happy to do so because it was a particular favourite, and originally made as a beautiful wedding commission.
With the very different but complimentary greens of green amethyst and peridot, this necklace is dainty and elegant. I used fine rolled gold chain, wire and fastenings, and a loose wire-wrap style around the green amethyst briolette.
Another commission I loved recently was a new version on my long pearl earrings as a gift for someone who doesn’t like pearls. I have these gorgeous pale translucent faceted agate beads that I have yet to make a design with, but my customer thought they would be the perfect gift for her daughter.
This gorgeous pearl necklace is even more touching when you know the significance of the pearls. Commissioned by a granddaughter for her grandma’s 75th birthday, each pearl represents a grandchild. Made to a slightly longer and more flattering length for her age, I also added an extender chain finished with a faceted rose quartz nugget. I love the idea that she can think of all her grandchildren whenever she wears it, what a special idea.
If you would like some handmade beaded jewellery commissioned specially for you or someone special, please get in touch as I always love to make individual pieces.
