A dear friend had a birthday the other day, and here’s what I decided to make her.
It’s a choker necklace in sterling silver with a vintage crystal bead and tiny iolite beads, which matches earrings I made her a few years ago. Because the length of a choker is crucial, so that it’s both comfortable and sits in just the right place, I added a generous extension chain.
The large vintage bead should sit comfortably in the clavicle.
For the extender I used rhodonite faceted garnets, for a July birthday (ruby coloured, but yes, I know they are not rubies!) and finished it off with a steely blue baroque pearl. My friend’s eyes are a beautiful periwinkle blue, so these blues work well.
It seemed to go down a treat :)
