I’ve bought some beautiful things recently, and thought is was about time I stopped keeping them to myself.

I bought this gorgeous Makepiece jacket a few weeks ago when they had a sample sale at Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge. Those of you that know me well will know that green is my favourite colour, and the flecked mossy tones of this gorgeous wool jacket with it’s vintage styling beautiful finishing details is right up my street. I have had compliments every time I’ve worn it!

Makepiece is a designer woolshop based in Todmorden, more details can be found here

To go with my favourite new jacket, I treated myself to this wonderful brooch from Karen Belarouci, a jewellery and mixed media artist from Shipley. No link to add for Karen, at present, but more of her wonderful work can be found in Art Parade in Saltaire. Email info@artparade.co.uk for details.

I love the fact that both of these designers are so near to home, I haven’t had to shop far to find a unique look!

Really glad you are wearing it and loving it – it did look like it was already yours when you tried it on!
