I have been commissioned to make some delightful jewellery, recently. A client had an old faceted crystal necklace of her Grandma’s, broken years ago which she had treasured and kept safe, hoping that one day she could get them repurposed into something beautiful.

Having seen some of my jewellery, my client came up with the idea of using some of the beads to create 4 pairs of different earrings with similar styles for her Granddaughters. I was thrilled to be able to design something for her!

The beads themselves are classic 1930’s crystal, with a facet I haven’t seen before and a beautiful AB (rainbow) shimmer effect.

Have a look at what I came up with, I’m really pleased with them. I wish I could have captured their real sparkle which was truly amazing. A dream come true for me, to redesign something from a beautiful bygone era.

I hope they will enjoy having a new life, and be a sparkling delight with their new owners for years to come.

Do you have old glass, pearl or semi-precious beads that you keep for sentiment reasons, but would like to recycle and add new life to? Contact me, and we can discuss the possibilities.

P.S Don’t forget about my 20% shop-wide discount on my Etsy shop, still running until midnight on Monday. Just enter code RLENOV10 at checkout.
