I was delighted when Vicky asked me to design a necklace for her wedding. She had bought a gorgeous vintage-styled dress from Belgian designers Just In Case which she wanted match.

A very gorgeous shade of khaki-lemon, with a taffeta skirt and a gorgeous ribbon around the waist. It has a kind of casual faded grandeur to the design, and needed a necklace which set just the right tone. Vicky wanted a clean design, I just added the extender detail so that it can be worn different lengths on other occasions.

We decided that Swarovski ‘black diamond’  faceted beads together with pale gold irregular pearls which I already had would create a perfect complimentary design, and I oxidized and hand-polished the silver to enhance the vintage look.

I’m so pleased with the result, and so was she!

The beauty of a handmade bespoke design, is that no one else will have a  wedding necklace exactly the same.

With the bride’s permission, I will add some pictures from her wedding day, very soon – watch this space!
