(drum roll please) Rinky Dink Flufflebottom !

Congratulations to Marjorie Dawson who came up with this rather splendid name, I think you will agree. Purple cat will be on his/her way to you shortly, all wrapped up, with a signed card from Kirsten and ready for a name (perhaps you could come back and let me know what name you have decided?).

My other half drew a name at random from a soup bowl from the 22 entries I had. Oh yes, it was an grand occasion.

I’m delighted with the number of entrants, thank you all so much for taking part, giving such lovely feedback on Kirsten’s wee creatures and contributing such fantastic names, of course.

I would have been happy with any of these:

Whiskers
Verdigris
Meauve
Schrodes
Patrick
Eric
Nittik
Laertes
Sir Franklin Muzzlepuff
Peashoot
Matilda
Marbles
Catmint
Cash-us Clay
Lucky
Dessy Fortunatus
Woodstock
Lord Johns
Vert

Let’s not forget Kirsten, from Quernus Crafts. She kindly volunteered to donate anything from her stall when I said I was going to run a blog competition to name my new green feline friend, and let me take my pick!

Kirsten is such a warm and friendly person, who I clicked with immediately. I loved her passion for what she does, and openness to meeting people, and her positive ideas for progressing the UK craft scene via UK Handmade, a fantastic resource for British crafters.

Here are the favourites my contestants picked from Quernus Crafts:

If you loved her cute wee creatures, pop over to her etsy or folksy shops to get your very own!

Kirsten, you're welcome, all comments were well deserved.

PussDaddy, thank for blogging about my little competition. The winner is from New Zealand, and wants to donate the little purple cat to her mum for her birthday, here in the UK. How sweet is that?
