We sneaked away for 2 days last week, just me, Gary, Lily and the dog. It was our first proper outing in our new campervan, and the start of something we hope to do often. I’m saving our campervan is a post to itself very soon, so you’ll have to wait a little for that one.
In the meantime, armed with my canon 5d mark II, I took some photos of our little trip. We visited Runswick Bay on Sunday which was a dry but dull day, and on Monday we walked from there, along the coastal path to Staithes. What a cracking day it was, for our walk, and Staithes is a gorgeous little town, quite unlike anywhere else. I can’t believe I have never been before.
As is the usual thing when walking with a child, the walk there took ages, and Lily was not quite sure she’d ever make it. Then, powered by ice-cream and sweets, the walk back was done in literally half the time!
After months of dead ends, and reading reading reading, I *think* I really have cracked my photo issues, so I’m really pleased with these images that I’m sharing today. Another post on that one, I think.
Not shown are our trips in to Whitby on both days, it’s full of lovely shops and great places to eat. I really love the place, and will certainly make it a more regular place to visit now that we have our own camper.
