I’ve had a couple of lovely commissions recently. Always a pleasure to work with a customer to make something special just for them.

Firstly is a necklace for a daughter’s birthday from her father to commemorate 3 important women in her life that she had sadly lost. We decided that something incorporating their birth stones would work really nicely in the Arran style of stacking necklace, and I added her own birthstone, too.

The stones are: amethyst – February, opal – October, turquoise – December, aquamarine – March.

My next commission was a version of the Socotra bracelet I used to make, with oxidized silver and faceted garnets. The original had 7 little garnets, but the customer just wanted 3, which I think looks lovely.
