Hello and a Happy New Year to you!

It’s been a lovely Christmas, and I have enjoyed spending some proper time off with my family and catching up with friends.

The weather was awful all over the holiday season, so the kids didn’t get to go out much, even when their new scooters arrived courtesy of Santa.

Nevertheless, we managed a couple of parties, carol singing and quite a bit of festive drinking. It simply has to be done! Here’s some of the highlights that I captured.

Christmas morning, and new beanie-boos were an instant favourite! Robert and Lily now have about 20 between them.

Turkey roll, recipe courtesy of Tom Kerridge – and it was was the best turkey I have ever tasted. I’m not a big turkey fan, but this almost turned me.

I bought little Lily a gorgeous merino wool snood from Manda at Treefall Design.

And then our new puppy arrived! I will try not to post constant dog pictures on the blog, but this little chap is so cute, it’s going to be hard not to. He has grown so fast already (almost doubled in size in 3 weeks!), so I may have to post more. I’m looking forward to getting outside to enjoy the countryside more, and the adventures that we will have together.

I hope you had a great Christmas time with your friends and loved ones, too.
