Wasn’t it a great summer this year? I think we really deserved to finally get one after a string of pretty abysmal summers.

We managed to get away with the kids for 2 separate lovely weeks in the UK this summer holidays, and really made the most of it. First we went to the Norfolk /Suffolk border, not far from Lowestoft. A couple of weeks later, we rented a log cabin in Pembrokeshire. For land-locked Yorkshire folk, we managed to get to both coasts!

I’m a southerner, and have been up north for 23 years now. For the first time, I really got homesick for the south this year after spending a hot week in the cornfields and beaches on the south-east coast.

Here’s some of my postcards from Norfolk:

Lovely work – my favourite one is the yellow flowers – great composition and processing.
