Hello, I’m here!

I am so sorry for my absence, but some of you might have noticed that my blog has not been up and running for the last couple of days. In fact it’s been broken in a rather disturbing way at the ‘back end’ for quite a bit longer than that, so I haven’t been able to welcome in the New Year as I wanted.

WordPress is a strange creature, and one that I am not familiar with yet. I am hoping to upgrade the version (without breaking anything, this time) and then change the theme to a gorgeous new one that I have found. Watch this space!

In the meantime I have been busy giving www.rachellucie.co.uk a new look for 2013, and I’m really pleased with the results, do pop by and have a look. I’d love any feedback you have (and am still tweaking the odd thing behind the scenes here and there).

So, happy new year, finally! Have you made any new year’s resolutions? I’m not a great one for resolutions, as I often don’t stick to them, but this year I have decided is the year for sorting out my organization. Rachel Lucie Jewellery was so busy this Christmas that to expand more I need to be running like a well oiled machine – and that’s not the case at the moment. A dear friend has given me ‘getting things done’ for Christmas, and I am plough through and hoping to make some changes to help me scale up my business appropriately this year.

I have got quite a stack of books I’ve bought or been given in the last few months, and I want to get those read, too. Reading is something that tends to go by the way when I’m busy, so, maybe that’s my new year’s resolution right there – get back to reading!

Here they are! A great selection, and hopefully they will be useful across a range of different business areas. And ‘The Man who mistook his wife for a hat’? Well, I’ve always wanted to read it!

In the meantime, I hope you haven’t been badly affected by the snow this last week. I am now catching up on orders, after enjoying a lovely couple of days sledging with the family in gorgeous wintery Hebden Bridge.

thanks Lorna! I went with a theme from dessign.net, they are great. I’ve changed quite a few things about the appearance, to fit in with my new look website.
