I’m getting a bit creative with this blog feature – these pictures today are not from my window at all!

September’s pictures are taken in my garden, one looking the same way as the view from my window, as you can see, my garden is on a large hill, because that is my roof you are looking over. Notice the purple tinge along the top of that photo – it’s the heather in bloom over on the moors, beautiful site.

This second picture is the view behind the house looking the other way, right on up the hill behind us. I love the way the light filters through the woods above us and am always trying to capture it in a photo. It’s a work in progress, but this is a pretty good one so far. Notice how the sun is only just breaking above that tree line – next month we enter our ‘dark phase’ where no sun will shine over the top until late January. Luckily I still have my great view at the front, so I can’t complain, really!
