My printer’s drawer.

Full of things I have collected, I think I may have been a magpie in my previous life!

I like to think the dust adds ‘character’….

In this teeny tiny jar are:

  • a caddis fly larvae’s little cocoon made from tiny grains of sand
  • beads found on St Agnes beach in the Scilly Isles on a school trip in 1983, remnants of a wrecked ship from hundreds of years ago. I found out later that my Aunt had found some on the same beach 40 years before, and that they were in the St Agnes museum.
  • tiny shells
  • a tiny electric blue jay’s feather
  • a crystal

Oh My God, how amazing! My school went on a trip to the Scilly Isles when I was 11, and we spent a day on St Agnes beach. We all knew if you looked hard enough you would find some beads. I was the only one who looked ALL day. I was not going home without some. In the end I got a fragment of the big bead, and a few black seed beads, but it was the romance of the story of the ship which wrecked that caught me. So amazing that you are the Beady Pool because of exactly that thing. You made my day :)

Ohhh you have Beady Pool beads to from Scilly. I found some there as a child hence why I called my shop Beady Pool.
Are yours red brick coloured with black cores or the white ones with red and blue stripes?
