My new dainty earrings and necklace with tiny gorgeous garnet beads I found recently.

They remind me of pomegranate pips, and I love the fact that the word ‘garnet’ is believed to have come from the word ‘pomegranate’ itself.

Garnet is of course the birthstone for January, and with it’s warm rich red tones, is a perfect valentine’s gift.

    thanks for your lovely comments!

yes, I agree about garnet. It took me a while, but it seems to be my new obsession. It really goes with my colouring, should have done more with it before!

Garnet eluded me for several years. The color was a bit too rich. Now, because of more experience and time passing, the stone draws me in everytime I see it. Your works are magnificent!
