The end of the year, in fact the end of the decade, fast approaches, and it’s a time of reflection, and a time to think about what’s really important.
I have had a wonderful year, branching out into new areas with my jewellery, with several online outlets now, and new galleries too. My sales have been great, especially during the last 3 months. I have met so many really helpful, friendly people on my journey so far, and I am only in my second year!
Who knew 10yrs ago, that in a decade I would have 2 children, live in Hebden Bridge, still be with my wonderful man, and be starting on this creative journey?!
So, what are my plans for 2010? I’m glad you asked, I am in the process of setting up my own website, as a central point of sales, I am starting to develop my ideas for the Spring/Summer season (hmm, there’s snow outside as I type…), and I really want to develop my skills, maybe with a course, and maybe through business link to gain the business skills that haven’t always come easily.
It’s not all been plain sailing, you might remember my dismay at the lack of success with several craft fairs. Well, having has some decent results now, too, I feel better able to pick the right events to go for. Also, to be honest, I have never done one I didn’t enjoy, always meeting some great people along the way, or networking in a way that created new opportunities.
So, before I ramble on and on, I just wanted to take a little time to say thank you to all the lovely and loyal customers and other people whom I have met so far through my online shops, craft fairs and this blog.
Have a fantastic Christmas, enjoy your families, festive fun, friends and food! And may 2010 be a fantastic year for you all xxx
