Something for Rachel Lucie – this gorgeous blog feature from roundrabbit about our creative exchange, thanks so much! It’s a pretty undescribable feeling to see something I made here in my house in Hebden Bridge, UK photographed by someone else in their studio in New York!
Here’s the gorgeous heart bowl that roundrabbit sent me, along with a choc (snaffled immediately, of course), and some wonderful soap.

It really made my heart jump to see the thought she had put into it, and let’s face it, a fantastic bowl made by her. Was it a coincidence, or did Nancy know it’s my absolute favourite colour? You must check out her etsy shop for more porcelain beauties. There’s also roundrabbit extra filled with all sorts of delicate handmade porcelain ornaments, buttons & components.

Something for Nancy (roundrabbit) – Here’s what I sent back. Organic chocolate, postcards from a local artist with a rather psychadelic view of Hebden Bridge (it’s not really in the rainforest, it’s in the Pennines!)

There’s also a bath bomb and of course the bit I made, oxidized and wire-wrapped sterling silver earrings with chrysaphrase, silver pearl and pink tourmaline hearts. It’s quite nerve-wracking making something for someone as a surprise, at least if they have ordered it, they know they’ll like it!

Something for you – I have been putting my bowl to good use, I love it! Until this week I have been sitting my newly made jewellery in it in the kitchen, so I can see if I like it (the jewellery, not the bowl!) because it just sets off everything beautifully. Now, I have finally photographed some new jewellery in it.

Here are my ‘ice’ rock crystal oxidized sterling silver earrings, listed in my etsy shop today, and I’ve seen that bowl somewhere before?

What a beautiful bowl and you’re right, it’s a perfect background for your earrings.
